About US and Band Member Bio's
The Midnight Express Band is located in the Willamette Valley, Oregon. We play 70's, 80's and some 90's and a few 2000's country as well as some classic rock favorites. All our band members have 40-50 years experience playing live music. All four band members sing besides playing one or more instruments. Polish up those boots or shine those shoes because you're going to want to be out on the dance floor. Get ready for a fun evening of live music and dancing.
John Herbert
John Herbert is on bass, lead and background vocals. John played all through the 80's in bands such as Calvin Dean and the country express, Showdown, Good ole' boys.
John recently retired as owner of Albany Music & Sound. John handles the bookings, website and social media.
Tim Martin
Tim Martin is on electric guitar, steel guitar, lead and background vocals. Tim has previously played with White Wolves, Dusty Hurd, Loose Wheel, to name just a few. Tim works part time at Fingerboard Extension in Corvallis, Oregon. He also participated for many years in the Jefferson Jammers at Morningstar Grange.
Thomas Bishop
Thomas Alan Bishop is on keyboards, guitars as well as lead and background vocals. You might have seen Thomas around playing with the Rhythm & Business band, Dave's Killer Band, as well as his solo act.
Roy Griffin
Roy Griffin is on drums, lead and background vocals. Roy has been in numerous bands around the area. You might have seen him recently playing in Loose Wheel.
