Band Bio's

John Herbert is our leader, vocalist and bass player. John played in bands in the 80's. He changed careers upon opening Albany Music & Sound. After retiring from the music store business in 2022, John decided to pursue playing live music. He started the Midnight Express band shortly after.

Kelly Bilyeu is our drummer. Kelly played in Fate 55 band for over 30 years. Fate 55 opened for many famous touring bands over the years.

Kim Beyers is our lead guitar player and vocalist. Kim also plays with 45th fret, and Cool Change PDX. Kim has also found himself on the big stage playing at local venues for famous touring acts. 

Our fourth member sometimes rotates between several of our good friends. Two that I want to mention are Clay King and Greg Dodds. Both with equal talent and abilities, bring a variety to our band that we really love.
